About Us

TFC Sports is a purpose-driven basketball experience focused on building character, confidence, and community, on and off the court. While TFC Sports is an outreach ministry of The Faith Center, every family in the community is welcome to participate in our leagues. Our goal is simple: Use sports as a platform to develop leaders and strengthen families.

Our History

TFC Sports was created as an intentional bridge between the church and the community, using athletics to mentor, encourage, and inspire the next generation.

What began as a small vision to launch a youth basketball program has rapidly expanded into:

  • TFC Rockets grades K–8 Boys and Girls League
  • TFC Sports Men’s
  • League Angel League for Exceptional Athletes

Our mission will always remain the same:

Create a safe, high-energy, faith-centered sports environment where every athlete can grow.

Purpose Over Play

Be More Than The Game

Be More Than The Game Philosophy

At TFC Sports, we follow our Be More Than The Game philosophy, a developmental model that emphasizes character, personal discipline, and faith-based purpose.

We partner with parents to help every child, teen, and adult athlete grow in:

Integrity

  •  Self-discipline
  •  Leadership
  •  Respect
  •  Teamwork
  •  Spiritual growth

We believe sports are an opportunity to win in the game and in life.

Huddle Elements

At every practice, our coaches lead a short Be More Than The Game huddle designed to build character and reinforce faith values.

Every huddle includes:

1. Character Word of the Week

Each week, coaches introduce a character word such as discipline, courage, gratitude, or effort. Coaches then lead a short discussion on how athletes can apply it at home, at school, and on the court.

2. Be More Than The Game Challenge Card

Players receive a Challenge Card with a simple action or reflection tied to the weekly word. These challenges help athletes practice character in real-life situations.

3. Recognition Moments Coaches present recognition slips to celebrate players who demonstrated the weekly character word or who embodied our three core pillars: Character, Competition, and Community. Recognition is not based on performance. It is based on growth.

4. Prayer Coaches take prayer requests and pray with the team at practices and games. We create an encouraging, safe, and welcoming environment where every athlete feels valued and supported.

Why We Do This

Sports matter, but who a player becomes matters even more.

Our commitment is to help every athlete, every family, and every volunteer step into their God-given purpose and Be More Than The Game.
